Many of you will be happy to note that I have eaten too much, slept too much, thought too little, read only "fun-stuff" (e.g. the awesome, sobering, and humbling "Till We Have Faces" by C.S. Lewis!), and have given myself over to 2nd-degree atrophy...
I have been useless, but I have not been idle, mind you...;>)
I went through 800 emails and culled out the 350 Tough Questions to answer, I filed many sweet comments from you into a 'kudos' letter that I will post shortly, I noted good answers in your surveys that I will publish (without names, of course) soon, and I corresponded with many of you...I now have an inbox of less than a hundred entries (although my question backlog is now up in the 400's)...
Miracles do occur!
My job situation changed again last week, though...I will now "abandon" Cincinnati in favor of NY/CT commutes from California (although the whole pattern of travel is altogether unsettled at this time)...The implications for my Tank work might be considerable. My biblical/historical library is in my apt. in Ohio, and I cannot continue the work on the NT/OT issues without it. Hence, months in NY/CT in a hotel does not afford me time to work on THOSE series, but might allow me to do more in the philosophy/consciousness arenas...It is too early to tell...(implicit appeal for prayer here)
My class on "Women in the Heart of God" for my Adult Education Class, starts early Oct and runs through mid-December, so the outline I have posted in the Global Sunday School will be filling out during that time period...
I want to thank so many of you, for letting me into your hearts and for sharing YOUR experiences with our living and loving Lord...I am consistently amazed at His semi-clandestine operations in history--how can He be SO obvious to us, and yet generally hidden in the Main Tent?! Incredible!
For the next several weeks I will be focusing on the Women's study, as I sort through the implications of my job assignment change...
